Lovebirds of Britain

Below is a brief article I wrote for a friend's magazine. Photos and Styling by Elle of Opium Poppies.

Once upon a time, a handsome George Harrison fell in love with a British bird named Pattie Boyd. From romantic kisses and sensual body language, the photos of a young George and Pattie capture the true ease of their relationship. Pattie had a history of dating musicians - (later she would go on to date Eric Clapton) - and carried a confident, it-girl persona during the time of her youth. Although George and Pattie's love story didn't last a lifetime, the beauty of their young love is eternal.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the four young Liverpool natives who changed the magical world of pop culture. Along with The Beatles' careers came everlasting fame, tours, extremely catchy songs, and a hell of a lot of girls. The ladies of the sixties were enthralled with Beatlemania, but the women who genuinely captured The Beatles' hearts will never be forgotten.
